As Publix is apt to do, the grocery giant acquired another retail center where one of its stores is the anchor tenant. The company recently bought the Polo Club Shops in Doral, a 134,000-square-foot Publix-anchored shopping center for $83 million. Jamestown Properties was the seller. The Polo Club Shops last traded for $50.65 million in 2015.
Publix knocked down and rebuilt the Doral store in 2022, expanding the footprint to 48,387 square feet and signing a new 20-year lease term.
Publix recently acquired retail properties in the West Kendall area of Miami, and two Davie retail centers where it had a presence.

If you own a retail center and would like to discuss value, the market and potentially selling or are interested in purchasing one, let’s connect.
